The Trailcross Clip-In is the latest addition to the Five Ten Trailcross family, designed from the ground up with adventure at its core. Packed with all the Trailcross technology, this latest model provides clip-in performance on the bike and all-day comfort when hiking off the bike. The addition of the Clip-In model takes the range to the next level, making our award-winning design available to clip-in pedal users for the first time. The Trailcross range was built from the ground up, starting with the Five Ten dotted outsole with the addition of a recessed cleat to clip into compatible pedals. This was then refined with hiking in mind, bringing the additional ridged grip to the toe and heel. The Trailcross Clip-In is a lightweight and breathable shoe. With the need for the shoe to provide all-day comfort but also deliver across the contact points on and off the bike, the mid-sole EVA technology provides the necessary toe flex for hiking, without losing the all-important stiffness. The Trailcross Clip-In utilizes a hook and loop closure for added security and to reduce heel lift. The Crankbrothers Mallet clip-in shoe plays nice on the race track and at the bike park. Our innovative Match System optimizes engagement for any MTB clip-in system, whether that’s Crankbrothers or SPD. It comes with Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position so they are ready to ride with Crankbrothers pedals right out of the box. - Closure System: Classic lace closure system offers smooth closure with round laces and a pocket to safely tuck laces. - Match Box: The ramped cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. A Race Zone setback on the cleat track allows the cleat to be positioned further toward the heel for added control and stability when descending. - Match Compound: Our mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) allows for easy pedal entry and exit and is hard enough to hold up to wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to provide smooth release from the pedal body. - Match Outsole: The tread pattern is designed for traction off the bike. OUTDOOR SOLE - The OUTDOOR rubber high performance sole has the correct density for variable trail conditions and has been designed to provide excellent grip and to easily expel mud and debris. 4-holes plate for SPD pedals. TECNO-3 SYSTEM - SIDI’s TECHNO-3 SYSTEM dials in fit along the entire length of the shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. SIDI’s famously reliable and replaceable closures are improved by a proprietary SIDI Wire material that is completely non-binding for intuitive and effortless on-the-fly adjustments. Like most SIDI small parts, the TECNO-3 SYSTEM is serviceable and replaceable. SIDI HEEL CUP - Reinforced cup that stabilizes and supports the heel. Anatomically shaped plastic, reduces heel slip and provides increased power transfer. Provides additional foot protection in the event of a crash. The reinforced heel keeps the foot in a optimal position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure.
